Alice is an author, chef, teacher, food literacy advocate, host of ABC Radio Sunday Drive, culinary correspondent for the ABCTV, TV host, food judge and former Masterchef contestant.

In her chat with Simone, Alice shares her many food wisdoms with us, including:

🍓 Her early days as a school teacher where she ALWAYS found ways to incorporate food in her subjects, be it in Geography, English, Science, History

🍓She talks about the art of pairing of flavours can be like matching colours, look at what is complimentary, “things that grow together, go together”.  But also consider contrast to add texture and surprise to the dish

🍓Alice emphases food is so multi-sensory; we have a responsibility to make the experience of food as positive as possible and the importance of getting the kids involved in the cooking process from an early age

🍓She reminds us that every meal time is an opportunity to include kids in food preparation - there is no wrong or right way to cook, start now and start small.
